Extract pomegranate seeds and Pulse it couple of times without grinding the seeds. This will yield fresh juice. Strain its juice and remove the seeds.
Add oil in a skillet, when it is hot, add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
Then add cumin seeds and chana dhal. Fry it for few seconds and add urad dhal, hing, red chili, curry leaves.
When the color of dhal changes to golden brown add pomegranate juice to it. Bring it to boil add salt, pepper powder and allow it to thicken in a low flame.
Turn the flame off, add cooked rice and gently stir to combine.
Serve this delicious Pomegranate Rice hot with pap dams or chips.
