  1. In a saute pan, dry bake the semolina on medium heat until it turns slightly golden and releases a roasted aroma. Keep aside.
  2. In a bottomed pan; When hot, add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle.
  3. Mix in the channa dal and urad dal and roast these dals on medium heat until they turn brown.
  4. Stir in the green chillies and curry leaves, then add the sliced onions and saute until it becomes soft and tender. To this add the green peas and grated ginger.
  5. Stir in the salt and pour pour 4 cups of water and allow it to come to a boil. Stir in the kitchen king masala.
  6. As the water is steaming slowly add the rava/sooji, continously stirring the water mixture in one hand so the lumps dont form.
  7. Keep stirring the mixture now until all the ingredients are well combined, the mixture will also begin to thicken. Once it tickens, reduce the heat, cover the pan and cook for a couple of minutes.
  8. Finally decorate with fresh grated coconut and coriander leaves and serve hot.
