  1. Place about 2.5 liter of water in a pressure cooker and put rice, dal, garlic paste, pepper powder, ginger paste, sliced vegetables, salt, turmeric powder, all collectively in the pressure cooker and
  2. Warm them until the whistle goes off. After about 15 minutes, take the cooker off from the fire.
  3. Now take a vessel and put the oil red chilli and cumin seeds and put it over the flame for about 2 minutes.
  4. Now simply add 1 or 2 teaspoon of ghee in the khichdi or if you wish to add more,
  5. You can add upto 4 teaspoons, but then it will be something that is only sweetful to you.
