Method

  1. Cleanse the rice properly and soaked in water about half an hour.
  2. After that drain the water well and keep the rice on one side.
  3. Heat the ghee in a heavy pan and add rice and fry it for 4-5 min.
  4. Add sugar, nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, saffron and 3 cups of water and half cup of milk and stir it properly.
  5. Heat it for 15 min in a medium flame with cover.
  6. When the water is totally immersed, add almond & cashew and stir it completely.
  7. Zarda or Zafrani Pulao is now ready to serve.
